Project FAQs
Can't I get this done cheaper? (Ben’s favorite question)
ROI is not in business to be a cheap solution to a small problem. We want to design and complete an impactful project at the lowest cost possible that will show up exponentially in the value of your home. We will not get into a bidding war with a guy and a truck. ROI’s contractors are highly skilled labor ranging from $15 - $30/hour. I make sure that there is a mix of experience on your job so that you don’t have a guy making $30/hour doing $15/hour work but, more importantly, you don’t have a $15/hour guy doing $30/hour work that he is not qualified to do. We only use the highest quality paint and stain because it protects your home better and lasts longer in the Texas weather. Most of the decorative pieces that we can add to your home will be designed and manufactured in the USA. ROI is insured and we do our best hire insured subcontractors. Doing business this way costs more money but it is safer, the work quality and the finished product are amazing and I can sleep at night knowing that we did it the right way.
Can I hire ROI to work inside my home?
Of course! A lot of the services we provide for the exterior of a home translate indoors and we will gladly manage and complete any interior project that fits well with our core capabilities.
Does ROI have a minimum project cost?
Yes, ROI has a $10,000 minimum project cost. Project cost includes design, project management, labor and materials. ROI only uses skilled labor and the highest quality materials and equipment.
Can I use ROI as a handyman for small jobs?
No, ROI is not a handyman service and has a $10,000 minimum project cost.
Can I hire ROI to build an addition?
ROI does not have any licensed architects or engineers on staff. The work we do rarely requires permits or licenses. If part of your project is outside the scope of ROI, we have a long list of quality companies to introduce you to.
How do I pay ROI?
We will sign a contract outlining the services to be provided. At that time, you will pay half of the anticipated project cost. The second half is due at completion +/- any change orders during the project. We accept cash, debit, checks and major credit cards. When using a debit or credit card, a 3% fee must be added to the invoice and there isn’t anything we can do about that.
What will my Return On Investment be?
Legally, I cannot claim a specific percentage. Your actual return on the investment will be based on what services you ask ROI to complete, your neighborhood, recent comparable sales, the housing market as a whole and a thousand other factors. I am confident as a Realtor that I can show you a difference in the potential list price of your home before and after the work is completed that might surprise you.
